Just released-

The Complete Works of Yasuhiko Yoshikazu
2800 yen
Media Factory
146 color pages on heavy stock

Only about a fourth of this book is devoted to Gundam, but since
"Yas" put the face on Gundam as character designer for first gundam
(and F-91) if figured this book would be of interest to the list.
Especially since this book reproduces Yas's most recent Gundam work
like the covers of, Giren's Greed, the Chogokin Gundam, Symphonic
Gundam, and the Gundam Character Encyclopedia.

Also included are paintings from other anime like Reideen, Combattler
V, Zambot 3, Giant Gorg, Arion, Venus Wars, Crusher Joe, and the
Dirty Pair. (I've gotten way too used to the Adam Warren ver.) plus a
bunch I'd never heard of before.

Yas is a great artist, so if you like his style this is a good
presentation, and the price isn't too bad. Yas's early work comes off
as rushed "technique-ie" illustrations. But he's always an excellent
draftsman and you can see his work keeps improving over the years. I
really dig his recent Gundam paintings. Absolutely beautiful.

This book is a great buy for the Yas fans. Those who appreciate art,
illustration, and late 70's, early 80's anime will like it as well.
