Ad illustration (perhaps even package illust.) for "Mobile Suit Gundam -
Advanced Operations" by Family Soft released...hmm...probably around
1988-89. At the time Family Soft acquired the license to create Gundam
related titles for the PC98 (Japanese PC most likely from NEC) platform,
but unfortunately, most are sub-standard war sims (think Panzer Generals).
I recall they also managed to create a few Dunbine and Macross (DYRL) war
sims as well, the latter (Macross - Skull Squadron or something) being port
to PC by certain Taiwanese company.

As for "Advanced Operation", the setting took place in post UC0088 era with
some new recruit team of AEUG (after being absorbed into the Fed) figting
NeoZeon (Char's) movement. Oh, that's for the "campaign mode". Think they
have NuGundam in the scenario (stand alone map/scenario) mode though.

Yes, that is Mikimoto's work. But his involvement was only limited to
character design and illustrations. The pic depicts the cast of the "???"
team (I forgot...).
