Ooookay, I just looked at your writeup on the R-2P on
your site... I guess when I read it the first time
around, I got confused thinking the MS-11 you were
referring to was the Acht Zaku... my bad, now I know
better. Guess I'll have to go back and rewrite yet
another one of my Burke's files. :)

Well, your R-2P writeup indicates that the reactor and
cooling system it was testing was for the original
MS-11 (later MS-14) project, and that it was capable
of using beam weapons. You're probably right that
there was probably a serious flaw... mabye the reactor
& cooling system weren't "safe" enough to handle
firing a beam rifle just yet (i.e. the reactor tried
to blow when it overheated from too much power being
pulled from it or something like that), so the R-2P
was canned... and thus closing this chapter of the
MS-11/MS-14 Gelgoog development.

Could be... though I guess that's unimportant at this
point, since we seem to have the MS-11/MS-14 design
history problems all worked out now. ;)

The Gyan was a re-started project as well? I wonder
what it's original design concept was supposed to
be... considering the final YMS-15 wasn't much more
than a beam saber-swinging, missile-lobbing MS
designed to work side-by-side with Doms...

Yeah, now THERE'S a mobile suit that makes you wonder
"why bother?"...

Cool... speaking of books, would you consider the
Dengeki Data Collections to probably be a more
accurate (and mabye complete) source of tech notes
than the Gundam Mechanics series?

I'll have to go check those out... I just finished
writing up a whole new batch of "Burke's" files today
(getting well into the ZZ stuff now), so I think I'll
take a couple of days to scour my site for mistakes (I
know there's plenty ^_^) and work on some corrections
before I update my site on Friday.

And now I shall close this topic with a gracious bow
and "thank you" to Mark. :)
