Hmmm, I overlooked Escaflowne, too, despite the fact that have all three OST
*and* the For Lover's Only retrospective. I also have her non-anime CD, Song To
Fly. Of all of them, the first Brain Powerd OST is still my favorite, with
"Butterfly" (sung by Kanno herself) being my favorite track and "Field Of Love"
(sung by Kokia) a close second.
And let's not forget her contributions to Hajime Mizoguchi's soundtrack for
Please Save My Earth -- another wonderful collaboration of complementary
talents.

A good combination, although one could make a good case for Akino Arai, Mai
Yamane and, of course, Gabriela Robin. Has the debate over Robin's identity
been settled yet?
And, again, I must reiterate my desire to hear Mio belt out a Kanno composition.

For all his faults, I still like Yoshiyuki Tomino's direction. Z Gundam is
still my all-time favorite Gundam series and both CCA and F91, for all they
suffer from compression, still shine. My second choice would be 0080 director
Fumihiko Takayama.

I'd have to cast my votes for Yutaka Izubuchi, who made the Zakrello look
genuinely fearsome and plausible for the MS Era book. The team of Izubuchi,
Mika Akitaka and Yasushi Ishizu did a good job on 0080 -- the NT-1 is one of my
favorite Gundams, the updates of the Gogg and Zugock are magnificent and the
Kampfer is in everyone's Top 10 list.

He certainly worked well with Akitaka and Ishizu on 0083, so I'd add him to my
Dream Team in that capacity, if I didn't also put him to work designing Bad Guy
MS to look as Teutonic as possible.

Yoshikazu Yasuhiko will always be The Man in my book -- his original characters,
the updated versions in Z Gundam, and the new characters in F91 are all great.
I liked what Haruhiko Mikimoto did in 0080, though -- his stuff is always good
when he works at it and he works at it on Gundam. Kitazume's work on ZZ and CCA
was also excellent, although I can't help wondering what CCA might've been like
with Yaz character designs.

Tomino is still my choice here, followed by 0080's Hiroyuki Yamaga.

Or TM Network? (^_^)
I don't see why Kanno couldn't do the ED as well, with a singer like Mio who can
do hard and heavy for the OP and soft and sweet for the ED.
