That's the basic Tomino tradition, I guess. That there's no real, distinctive line between
good and evil, only personal motivations and the importance of what needs to be done, no
matter what the cost. The Alex fought Bernie's Zaku because Chris perceived it as a threat
and Bernie did likewise because he didn't want the colony nuked by his fellow Zeons. Well, we
all know the conclusion to this great OAV now don't we? : (
As for the Feds being baddies, well, that's where the Zeta Gundam storyline steps in, folks.
And (as far as I know) they aren't really pure Feds, they were called Titans ...but, I guess
you guys already know that, don't you? : )
