Actually, over the last few months, I've seen quite a few people pop up and say
that they don't care for EVA pretty much every time the topic comes up. It
seems as if people are fairly polarized over it. Either you really, really,
like it, or you really, really, dislike it. One guy who disliked it still
thought every anime fan should see it at least once, though.
As for my own view? I watched the first four episodes, and wondered what the
big deal was. I didn't really find anything that I cared for about the show.
Recently (within the last couple of weeks) I figured I probably ought to give
the show a second chance, but my local video rental place doesn't carry any more
episodes, so it appears that my opinion will remain, for the time being.
