I'm but one of a small group of resistance fighters trying to spread the
word about how overrated Eva is ;p Everyone raved about the show to me, so I
sat down and watched it. I got through the first 20 odd episodes remaining
oddly indifferent to it and not understanding what all the fuss was about.
Then I watched the end and was outraged with the cop out ending. So then I
watched _all_ the movies and disliked it even more ... truly one of the
worst things I've seen. I hate the characters, I hate the mechanical design,
I hate the sorry excuse for a story ... just not my bag :P
As for Esca, thats obviously my favorite anime series, hands down. Esca was
where I learned to love Yoko Kanno and appreciate a truly good story with
characters that _did_ evolve. Something Eva decidedly lacked. Ranma is not
something I've exposed myself to, yet.
We should probably end this discussion here though since this is pretty far
OT from even the OT post. E-Mail me privately if my dislike of Eva bugs you
that much ;p
