I'm replying not to this message, but to address the issue of styled (HTML or
RTF format) text in messages posted to the GML. Styled text is problematic for
two reasons. First and foremost, it's difficult to reply to it in the "quoted"
manner considered most proper for BBS, newsgroups and mailing lists. Second,
styled text can break a digest of a mailing list, because the digest engine is
generally based in UNIX and doesn't recognize styled text as text, interpreting
the first instance of styled text as end-of-file and tossing the rest of the
digest away.

Although Netscape Communicator and AOL are also offenders, Microsoft Outlook
accounts for the majority of styled text messages. It's a simple but not
exactly straightforward matter to set Outlook up to not only use plain text but
also to apply ">" prefixes to lines in the approved manner for "quoted"
material. Select Tools > Options, click the Mail Format tab, and then change
the list box from HTML or RTF to Plain Text. To add the prefix, click the
Preferences tab, click the E-Mail Options button, then select the Prefix option
in the listbox in the lower half of the dialog box.

If you receive a message with styled text, as I did with this one, you can strip
off the formatting when you reply. Just open the message and, on the message
window menu bar, choose Format > Plain Text, and click OK on the resulting
message box. Everything in the message will be converted to plain text, but
will not be quoted -- you'll have to do that manually or, as I've done here,
just push the original message down to the bottom.

Outlook Express, formerly known as Internet Mail & News, may or may not work the
same. Despite the similarity of name and interface, they're completely
different programs by different teams in different divisions of Microsoft and
really have nothing in common unless (as in the case of the name and interface)
it's so dictated by top management. I haven't used it since it stopped being
IM&N, as I'd already switched to Eudora Pro and then switched to Outlook for
professional reasons, so I can't really advise you there.

I hope this helps but, if not, try popping up the Help window and searching on
the terms "plain text" and "message format"...

Personally, I'd like to see a Magnuac kit, with possible extra parts so you can
build the 5 variations(It appears the SD kit will have the parts, why not an
HG). A Virgo I kit can easily be recycled into a Virgo II kit, as well.
Most of the designs in X really are not original-they're basically GMs and Zeon
mechs with only slight deviations in design. However some stand out....The
Rasveyt and the Crouda would be cool.

This is a great idea! I'd love to have 1/144 th scale HG kits of the Leo,
the Virgo series, the other GW mass produced mecha. The lesser know Turn A
mecha as well. Don't know enough about X to comment on them, though.
