it can't brak the barrier because it dosn't work that way.. beam weapons
don't strike the I-field bubble and disipate thier energy into the field
like Beam barriers/shields do, they follow the path of least resistance
and flow around the target protected by the field..

actually I-field protected vehicles are more vulnerable in OYW becasue
fewer mobile weapons rely on beam weapons as thier main armament

I-fields can only be crunched into mega-particles under certain
conditons usualy only prelavent inside specialized components inside a
wrship, that's how they generate Mega-particles for their weapons, not
if they are simply layer upon layer of i-field lattic hanging out in
space, at least i don't think so
