in the movie he told the tech working on the Zeong that he had "tested
out on the Elmeth" implying that he could have used the bits, though
perhaps not as effectivley, from what i've been hearing Psycommu just
allows an interface between pilto and bit/Funnel as well as the MA/MA
itself, whereas Psychoframe does that And amplifies the pilot's NT
abilities/skills, Char probalby could have used the elmeth effectively
enough, but would likely have been easy meat for Amuro in that machine
since he'd be forced to exert himself more to operate both the bits And
the Elmeth, so instead he groomed his protoge' Lalah for the dutiy of
piloting the Elmeth
