The only Federation pilot nickname I can remember is from the Blue Destiny side
story. On 7 November 0079, Core Fighter pilot Amy Bauer-Meister earns the
nickname "Eagle of Odessa" for her aerial exploits in Operation Odessa.

For what it's worth, the White Base was called "Wooden Horse" and the Gundam
"White Mobile Suit" -- with Amuro usually referred to as the "White Mobile Suit
pilot" -- by the Zeon. If I were translating the show into English, I'd call
them "Trojan Horse" and "White Knight"....

And, along that same line, "White Doll" is the nickname given to the Turn A
Gundam.
