Been quite a while and since there's no GGreed2 in
sight...
--
How do you know that Camille, Fa, Judo and the
rest of the Newtypes
cannot do the same thing? They haven't had the chance
of trying it. Besides,
I believe it's easier to "talk" to people you already
know instead of people
you don't know...
--
(don't kill me for it Master Chiu...)
They probably can (Camille sure as heck sees a lot of
ghosts) but one fact definitely worth mentioning - all
of those "powerful" NTs do their tricks with the
presense of psycommu/bio-sensor (onboard their
"hyper-mode" MS/MA) while "hyper-mode" MS/MA) while Amuro@OYW (e.g., in the
RX-78 wreck) is doing his without one (unless MCoating
got some unexplored potential or Amuro's "lucky" gun
can actually double as psychoframe component as seen
in CCA <- no wonder it's so darn accurate ;-) )
Just a personal comment...it's odd though, as it seems
to me that GML is the only place where I got the
notion of Amuro being a *weak* NT. I have a
discussion with my Japanese "associate" and from him I
think the general concensus over there is that Amuro
being a fairly powerful NT (not as powerful as Camille
or Hamaan for sure) with unparallel pilot
skill/talent. Don't forget that in FirstGundam (or
Tomino's OYW novel) there are several mentionings of
Amuro being the same class as LaLa Sun (though those
are just comments from the cast).

I think the Nu uses it's funnels (or whatever)
to create an I-Field.
I'm not too sure whether this can be considered a
traditional I-field
generator -- didn't really go into that discussion the
last time it came
around -- but noting that the funnels have to recharge
eventually, that
particular I-Field wasn't too reliable either.
--
I think it all came to the distinction between "beam
barrier" and "I-field generator". While beam barrier
(e.g., in the form of beam shield) can block both
projectile (e.g., recall when Quess tried to "will"
her funnels to penetrate the parameter of Nu's beam
barrier?) and energy charge, I-field offers no
protection to the former (Kou really should take
better care of 03D's generator...Gato probably will
miss if Kou "row" over his 03D...)
Oh well, beam barrier can collapse rather easily while
I have yet to see an I-field collapse in the Gundam
universe...
Just to add to the confusion...I'm not sure what
defensive device is installed into defensive device is installed into QuinMatha@ZZ
(something like that...) or (something like that...) or Ex-S@GunSent. (GundamWars3
makes it sounds like "pin-point barrier system" from
Macross...)
