I personally thought the John-Willams esque score added a lot to the series,
and I thought that the battle with the Gouf in the ruined city is one of the
best animated Gundam battles ever, along with Gundam vs. Char's Geloog, GP01
vs. GP02, and Nataku vs. Wing Zero Custom. It's just so blindingly fast and
well-animated, those who detract anime's animation have no idea what they're
talking about....but let's not get into that topic.

It's got some of the best mech battles, if you like realistic seeming
animation like
I do. The city scenes at the end remind me of the cool fights in 0080.
08th MS Team
and 0080 have the best mech/character designs and animation, in my opinion.
I know
it's unfair to compare them to 20 year old shows but they beat 0083 and its
Miami Vice
color scheme, too. Maybe not the best Gundam show since it mattered so
little in the
timeline but one of the best visually, sure.

Alfred.
