I think it's just to be funny-like most Super-deformed shows(Dragon half is
a good example). Also, the small size allows for more room in the games(The
V Gundam game is a prime example of how having full-sized Gundams in a
shooting game isn't always a good idea). The model kits are good for
beginners, as well. It's kind of funny making fun of an icon, which I think
is kind of what Gundam is in Japan, if I'm not mistaken(By icon I mean, at
least close to Star Wars popularity)

That reminds me of what I was going to ask everyone's opinions on; what is
the purpose of the Super Deformed Gundams? Do they just have big heads so
that people with no talent can finally have the satisfaction of successfully
painting a face mask?
