I think it honestly depends on the studio. Gainax, for instance, does some
really high frame-rate charecter and mech animation, but they do have a
tendency to recycle some stuff(Evangelion). Sunrise, of course, is pretty
high guality. Ditto with Pioneer. More megaconglomerates like, say, Toei
have sort of rougher animation, as we see with Sailor Moon and Dragonball
Z(Even though those programs are fairly old)
