If you were expecting more startling revelations about the connections
between the other Gundam series, then that didn't happen.

Except that there is now more fuel to the wild rumour./theory that Coren
is Zechs is Char clone? Or even Coren=Char...
Reason? - Coren has a red Kapool with a decorative antenna...and it seems
three times as powerful as the stock one... : )

You can say that storywise Turn A nicely wrapped everything up with the
satisfaction of the fans but left the other stuff unanswered.

The feel and style of the ending has been compared to V Gundam(but
without a high death count) and original Gundam. You might even say the
final battle between Ginganam and Loran, Turn X vs Turn A, is an exact
copy of the Char vs Amuro, Zeong vs Gundam. Turn X ends up with just the
head followed by a sword fight...

The whole episode is pretty much centred around the final fight between
Loran/Turn A and Ginganam/Turn X. The simultaneous use of the Gekkocho
(Moonlight Butterfly) by the two results in the two MS being 'trapped'
while they fight on, while Merrybell in the Bandit looks on in glee.
Coren arrives on the scene after getting a boost from Soshie and Meshie's
Kapools and knocks the Bandit away. He then attacks the Turn X in order
to free the Turn A but is destroyed by the Gekkocho surrounding them.
The Soleil with Diana on board arrives and uses its barrier in an attempt
to prevent the Gekkocho from expanding but crash lands when all of the
ship's energy is expended. Soshie (now in a Flat) rescues Loran as he
escapes from the Gekkocho which has swallowed up Ginganam after the
swordfight. The Turn A and the Turn X are both lost to the Gekkocho. Also
thrown in a newtype like connection between Loran and Ginganam.

Significant Deaths: Coren/Red Kapool destoryed by the Gekkocho which
has engulfed both the Turn A and Turn X, while attempting to free
Loran/Turn A by attacking Ginganam/Turn X. Ginganam swallowed up by the
Gekkocho after the swordfight with Loran.

Loran, Diana, Kiel, Soshie, Harry are all reunited.
Soshie kisses Loran goodbye. Loran and Diana set off together in the
snow.

In the end Loran and Diana are shown together in a mansion(Will
Game's??) and Soshie ending up alone, although Diana is weak and in need
of care(possibly near death). The episode ends with Loran telling Diana '
Goodnight Diana, untill tomorrow'.

Whether Loran and Diana got married is open to debate. Diana is shown
wearing a ring but some say that ring is meant for Will Game and not
Loran. There is also a debate as to whether Diana died in the final scene
or recovered and lived happily ever after. And there are fans hoping
that Loran will eventually go back (after Diana's death?) to Soshie and
live happily ever after...

Soshie is shown throwing away into the river Loran's Goldfish toy.
Significance of this is also open to debate.

Kiel takes Diana's place permanently and returns to the Moon with Harry
by her side. Future relations between the Moon race and Earth people are
strengthened by the friendship between Kiel and Lily Borjarno.

Gwen survived to conspire another day and ends up with Merrybell,
although his feelings for 'Lora' has not waned.

On the whole, it seems everyone who saw the episode is satisfied with the
way everything turned out, with the exception of everyone feeling sorry
for Soshie. The episode seems to be full of deep meaning and symbolism.
