Well...basically, what we have instead of the long battles of FM2 is we have
70 small scales battles, with a maximum of 4 playable characters at one
time. This effectively kills any strategy that can be used in the game,
since all you really need to outfit your mecha right and upgrade.
I also thought the story was just a bad excuse to force you to fight more.
The basic story, for the first 30 hours pretty much is
"We need to find Item A at Point B, but it turns out it got moved to Point C
when we got there, but C was actually a staging point for Item B, and Item A
is really at Point D,etc.etc."
