But you know that the dubbed first Gundam movie does play around with minor
details in the Gundam world, such as the Gundam having a protective shield
(what is this, Eva?) and Mirai claiming to have read the whole White Base
manual or something to that effect as well. Just know that the dub does not
hew to the original script accurately and may screw you up if you're trying
to understand a few minute story details from this original 0079 saga.
