Pain will stick to plastic and metal fine, after you wash off the releasing
agents that still cover the plastic and metal. Releasing agents are used to
help plastics and metals pop out of molds easier, but they also prevent
almost everything else from adhering to the surface of the plastic or metal.
Just wash the pieces off in lightly soaped water, rinse in clean water, and
air dry. Then you can do whatever you want to it paint wise, without trouble.
