Amuro apparently went into seclusion immediately upon his return to Earth
and wasn't involved in anything beyond his own personal domain until his
first appearance in Z Gundam, sometime in March 0087. He was not even part
of the mysterious "Alaska Incident" of 10 January 0087, which apparently
lead to the formation of the Kalaba, the pro-AEUG band of former White Base
veterans.

Char's whereabouts are uncertain from the end of the One Year War, 31
December 0079, to his return to the Earth Sphere as Quattro Vezina, 21
December 0084. He escaped from A'Bao'A'Qu on a ship that purportedly took
him to Granada and from there to Axis, where he became involved in some
way, never made clear, with Haman Khan. Dozul Zabi's widow Xena died on
Axis of an undisclosed illness on 5 may 0081. Maharajah Khan, became
Regent for the infant Mineva Lao Zabi and nominal leader of Axis until his
death on 9 August 0083. Haman succeeded him two days later, despite being
only 16 years old. Char would've been officially about 26 (the birthdate
of his assumed identity being UC 0057) and in actuality about 24 -- half
again as old as Haman -- suggesting that he may have taken advantage of her
romantically to improve his position with Axis. He apparently was close
enough to her to be allowed enough access to the 3-year-old Mineva that she
remembered him four years later.
