That was right on the money! I couldn't have said it
better.

Citing the reasons and tone of the long article I've just
translated, you could say that Turn A is a knockoff
because like Wing or other alternate universe Gundam
shows, Turn A also could have been an independent story
but for its using the Gundam name. While the story is
not set in the UC universe, the fact that they keep
digging up "oldie but goodies" UC suits just make the
whole thing feel even cheaper because they were cashing
in on people's nostalgia for the UC era.
