Some were reissued by Bandai last year (or the year before?) for the 15th
Anniversary of Macross. Those were gone really fast (damn glad I grabbed as
many sets as I could). I believe they were snap on kits, but I could be
wrong. They were newer molds than the 1/72 ones, which were actually IMAI
molds purcahsed by Bandai for reissue. I think the 1:100 kits were molded
by Bandai around the time the DYRL movie came out.
>can someone fill me in on the 1/100 kits? snap

I will have to excavate my kits to be sure but in any event, they were
superior to the 1:72 kits, which did not even have male/female connectors
on some of the parts, making it hell to glue the parts right.
>transformable or not?
Yes.
>part-swapping for transformation needed?
I believe some part swapping was involved...
> how about the colors?
You will have to paint them big time. No System Injection on these!
Even the 1:72 scale Valkyrie II from Macross II was a lame kit that looked
like crap unpainted.
>are they still available?
Not for the time being. Maybe for the 20th Anniversary of Macross?
>i've never seen any destroid kits either. (toys, yes; kits no.)

There was a commander's battle pod (the one with a cannon on the head and
two missiled arms) which came out for the 15th Anniversary. I think there
was a Destroid kit too (maybe two, one from Bandai, one from ARII,). Looks
like you missed the first wave of the reissue. The saved the crap for the
last.

Not sure if these were even offered online. I got them at my local shop.
