Dude, if Gundam kits aren't turning a profit, then why would they be churning
out tons of new kits and risking their necks even further? This summer alone,
within the last 2 or 3 months we have already seen:

- MG MS-05B Zaku I
- MG MS-05B Zaku I (Black Tri-Stars)
- MG MS-06R-1A Zaku II (Black Tri-Stars)
- MG MS-09 Dom
- HGUC GunCannon
- HGUC Gyan
- 1/144 Turn A
- 1/144 Flat
- 1/144 Kapool
- 1/100 Turn A
- PG Char's Zaku II
- PG Zaku II Custom Set 1
- PG Zaku II Custom Set 2
- PG GUndam Custom Set 2
- SD Gundam G Generation Zero (count them - ALL 19 OF THEM!)
- 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam "300 yen edition"
- 1/144 Chogokin Gundam
- MS in Action figures (3 of them, with more to come!)
- tons of Gashapon PVC figures, including SD ones

and more is on the way. I dunno about you, but I am beginning to feel the
oversaturation by now. This is nothing like a year ago, when new kits would
be spaced out by 3 to 5 weeks, or even longer. And we are not even talking
about other merchadise, including CDs, games, rings, belt buckles, t-shirts,
candy (anyone heard the rumor that Morinaga will be re-issuing those kick-ass
mini-models from the early 80s?!), digital camera, keychains, home video,
novels, manga, and whatever you can shake a beam saber at. Man, it's only a
matter of time before they make a hyper bazooka styled rubber!

If more kits are being perceived as flops, then how do you explain this
mad rush of new kits? No sane businessman would pump out more if the kits
aren't selling successfully.

Eddie
