I forgot to mention last time around: an important
factor what everyone seems to forget in comparing
Gundams is the TYPE of Gundam they are comparing.
RX-78s, Zeta, Double Zeta, etc are designed for mobile
suit close combats both in space or on earth; GP01Fb &
nu-Gundam, etc are exclusively for space combat.
Whereas RX79G and GP01 (w/o the Fb) are designed for
Earth-bound ground combat only. So it will be fair to
pick out the best one to represent that specific
catagory.

I am not a GP02 fan, but in that regard, it's label a
"Tactical Mobile Suit", meaning it's build
specifically for nuclear warfare or other long-range
tactical missions (the beam sabres & head valcans r
pretty much for pilot's self defence; Gato's superb
skill really amazed as well as confused many fans).
IIRC, GP02 is one of its kind and it's very good at
doing what it supposes to do.
