Small... EXCEPT: Do you remember the sheer size of that monstrous
freight/loading/drydock elevator the Zugock was rising on as it was coming
up from the bottom of the glacier up to the top? Even though there just
looked to be a 'cluster of huts' on top of the ice, it really seems like
there was a rather substantial base hidden _beneath_ the ice (which makes
perfect sense if your enemy is watching you closely from space! Bring in
your supplies secretly underwater and have most of your base underground
while you have a much smaller above-ground base to deflect their
attention.)

They also had a heavy-launch facility of some kind which leads one to
wonder: What the HELL was that base FOR in the first place? An obvious
answer would be "To launch payloads into polar LEO", though, with fusion
power in the UC era, this is rather unecessary. Could this be one of those
mythical bases where our huddled masses yearning to be free were launched
into space? Could this base be a relic of an earlier era, put temporarily
back into service during the war? Or could there have been some other
serious stuff going on there that we never hear about?
