  It's not really worth it.
  I have both kits, and though the 1/100 kit has alot more panel lines and
comes with that dorky looking set of three-barrelled pistols, it basically
gains you _nothing_ over the 1/144 kit! A matter of fact, the 1/144 kit is
actually a little more poseable in places, easier to pose (because of its
lighter weight) has somewhat more clearance for those sinister looking
wings, and all around is a better value. I may actually order a second one
soon.
  Also, the piston-belly gimmick works a little better and is a little bit
more stable in the 1/144 kit than in the 1/100 kit, again, mainly because
of the huge mass of the 1/100 kit.
