I use 3M's sandpaper, which you can buy in any crafts store. For small
scale kits, start with 411Q Wet or Dry Tri-M-Ite Paper A wt. W at 600 (PE5),
once you get the rougher parts out of the way, switch to the 414Q Imperial
Wet or Dry Color Sanding Paper A wt. at 1000 (ON3 Ultra Fine). When building
1/100 and 1/60 scale kits, or the older kits, you may want to try starting
with 413Q Wet or Dry Tri-M-Ite Paper A wt. W2 at 400 (PS2 1*) and then
switch to the 600 grain. If the surface is not smooth enough, use the 1000
grain ultra fine sheet to polish it off.
