I don't really see any reason to sand the joints, since most of the time
they remain hidden from plain view. Sometimes you may need to paint them
but a layer of paint should not make your joints loose.

Most of the 0080 kits don't really have a backheavy problem, but the Hygog
is pretty bad at balancing itself with the weak joints and limbs. It is no
wonder its feet looked so ugly and are basically three flat pieces of large
surfaces on each leg going into front and the sides, in order to give it a
better chance at standing up.
