Probably because we can't either. :) Remember, we're all reading off the
same katakana ("ah-bo-ak-ku") and have to make a guess as tot he
romanizaiton. I've seenmany spellings:

A Boa Ku
Ah Boa Ku
A Boah Ku
Abowaku
Abowahku

Ad nauseum... It happens a lot in anime.
